PremiumOscars 2024 LIVE Updates: The 96th annual Academy Awards has been concluded. Film Oppenheimer completed its indomitable march toward Hollywood's most important prize, winning the Academy Award for Best Picture. Director Christopher Nolan fulfilled his award show frontrunner status, winning his first Oscar for Oppenheimer. The film earned a leading 13 nominations at the Oscars and won seven awards.
Actor Cillian Murphy bagged the Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in the biopic 'Oppenheimer'.
'Oppenheimer' also won the awards for Best Supporting Actor, Best Film Editing, Best Cinematography, and Best Original Score at the 96th Academy Awards.
On the other hand, Emma Stone claimed the Best Actress trophy for her role in the dark comedy "Poor Things."
The harrowing Holocaust drama “ The Zone of Interest," won the Academy Award for best international film.

"It's going to be a long night after what was a long year. It was a hard year but it was also a great year for movies despite the fact that everything stopped," said Jimmy Kimmel while commenting on the Hollywood writers' strike that went on for months.
