Jasprit was awarded the 'palyer of the series' as he clicked 15 wickets. Jasprit Bumrah wins player of the series award after he picked up 15 wickets. His economy in the T20 World Cup 2024 was 4.17, which is the best in T20 World Cup tournaments.
After winning the toss at Barbados' Kensington Oval on 29 June while playing the ICC Men's T20 World Cup final against South Africa, India scored 176/7 runs and posted a target of 177 runs for South Africa to chase. With this, India registered the highest ever total in a T20 world cup final.
For India, Virat Kohli scored a whopping 76 off 59 runs, while Axar Patel (47) and Shivam Dube (27) contributed some important runs. Virat Kohli registered the highest individual score for India in a T20 World Cup final.
For South Africa, Keshav Maharaj and Anrich Nortje took 2 wickets each, while Marco Jansen and Kagiso Rabada clinched one wicket each.

After being honoured with the 'player of the match award', India's star player Virat Kohli announced his retirement from the T20I cricket.
"This was my last T20 World Cup, this is exactly what we wanted to achieve. One day you feel like you can't get a run and this happens, God is great. Just the occasion, now or never kind of situation. This was my last T20 game playing for India. We wanted to lift that cup," Cricbuzz quoted Kohli as saying.

1) The hours of play will be the same as the original match day, including any extra time.
2) Play will resume as if the last ball was bowled on the scheduled day.
What is worrisome for fans is it is expected to rain on June 30 as well. If rain doesn’t allow play on the Reserve Day, India and South Africa will be declared as joint winners.

The rules also require each team to bat for at least five overs to achieve a result. If play doesn't resume by the cut-off time to allow this, the match will be abandoned for the day. The Reserve Day will then be used to finish or replay the cricket match.

Manjrekar stated that while Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel will likely bowl their quota of 4 overs, Ravindra Jadeja might not get that opportunity.
