2023

The 2023 theme honoured Raigad Fort and was a tribute to the late acclaimed art-director, Nitin Desai, who was involved with the organisation since 2008.

2022

2022 was the first time in the two years of Covid-19 pandemic restrictions that celebrations resumed on a large, pre-pandemic scale.

2021

Amid Covid-19 restrictions, the Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal made a 4-feet idol instead of the usual 14-feet.

Arogyautsav 2020

As Covid-19 was at its peak in 2020, the committee decided not to celebrate the annual Ganeshotsav and instead set up an ‘Arogya Utsav’ —a 10-day blood donation camp for devotees.

2019

The 2019 idol was sculpted by Santosh Kamble and accompanied by Nitin Desai's installation. It was dedicated to India's latest space mission Chandrayaan 2.

2018

2018 marked the 85th year of Lalbaugcha Raja. To mark the occasion, a 15-feet tall Ganesha idol by the Kamble family was installed. It took about two months to complete the 2018 idol.

2017

For 2017, the Pandal sported a golden Raj Mahal theme. Its theme was 'Kurma', the second turtle avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu and a symbol of longevity.

2016

The theme for Lord Ganesha's throne in 2016 was 'owl', the vahan of Goddess Laxmi.

2015

Renowned art director Late Nitin Chandrakant Desai began designing the throne of Lord Ganesha in 2015.

2014

In 2011, the Kambli family became the first idol sculptors to patent the Lalbaugcha Raja idol design as the demand for replicas went up and several other sculptors began copying the idol's style and features.
