'We need each other'

Gates said that people today aren't used to feeling a sense of responsibility for each other. She said, "But we need each other. No matter who you are, there will be moments in your journey when you need to be carried or when someone else will need you to carry them."

Make strong bonds

Gates urged students in the audience to build strong bonds with each other, even if they disagree on certain issues. She said that it's the job of the students to now rebuild a "broken" world.
