Some interesting EV options which are coming to Indian markets soon include the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara and the Tata Harrier EV.
The Indian electric car market has been experiencing unprecedented growth in recent years. This surge can be attributed to changing consumer attitudes, increasing demand, and enhanced charging infrastructure. Consequently, numerous car manufacturers have begun rolling out their models in this segment.

While a few companies, such as Honda, Toyota, and Jeep are yet to make their entry, the majority have already launched their electric vehicles. In upcoming months, more electric cars are set to debut in India, including models from the country’s largest passenger vehicle manufacturer Maruti Suzuki. Here's a list of electric vehicles that are debuting in India soon:
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara
Maruti Suzuki's e Vitara will be the brand's first electric car, having been unveiled in its production-ready form during the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This model promises a range of up to 500 kilometres on a full charge. It features a 49 kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor that generates a peak power of 142 bhp and maximum torque of 192.5 Nm. With this launch, Maruti Suzuki aims not only to enter the Indian electric passenger vehicle market but also to secure the leading position in this space.
MG M9
The MG M9, a premium electric MPV, was also showcased at the Auto Expo 2025, confirming its upcoming launch in India. Based on the Maxus Mifa 9, this MPV will be sold through MG Select, the automaker's premium retail network. The MG M9 can accommodate up to seven passengers and is equipped with a 90 kWh battery pack, delivering a claimed range of up to 430 kilometers on a full charge.
Tata Harrier EV
Lastly, the Tata Harrier EV is among the most anticipated electric cars in India. Already available in an ICE variant, the Harrier is a spacious SUV that is soon to be offered in an electric version. The Tata Harrier EV will feature some design updates specific to electric vehicles compared to the ICE version and will come equipped with a dual-motor setup and all-wheel drive (AWD). Tata Motors is expected to unveil the powertrain details soon.
MG Cyberster
The MG Cyberster is a two-door sports car and represents the automaker's most powerful production model to date. Featuring a futuristic design and an upscale interior filled with advanced technologies, the electric convertible is powered by a 77 kWh battery pack promising a range of up to 443 kilometers on a full charge. The MG Cyberster produces 503 bhp peak power and a maximum torque of 725 Nm. Upon its launch, it will be available through MG Select alongside the MG M9.
