Top 5 India's ADAS technology loaded cars including MG Astor, Tata Harrier, Hyundai Verna and more

The auto industry is abuzz with the latest technology known as ADAS, which stands for advanced driver assistance system. ADAS is a comprehensive set of safety features designed to enhance the driver's interaction with obstacles on the road. Its primary goal is to provide increased safety for both the driver and passengers in the vehicle, as well as for other road users. This safety suite includes a range of features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, and blind spot detection. Here are India’s top ADAS tech loaded cars:

Honda City 

The camera-based ADAS suite was initially introduced in the Honda City hybrid, which has a starting price of 18,89,000. This suite includes a range of features such as Lane Keep Assist, Collision Mitigation Braking, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Auto Headlamp Beam Adjustment. Following the facelift, the petrol variants of the Honda City (V, VX, and ZX) also come equipped with ADAS. The 5th generation Honda City starts at 11,57,000, and its ADAS suite is referred to as 'Honda Sensing'.

Hyundai Verna

Following in the footsteps of the Honda City, the Hyundai Verna has become the second midsize sedan in the country to offer ADAS. The safety suite in the Verna, known as 'Hyundai SmartSense', is available on the SX (O) trim, starting at 14.65 lakh (ex-showroom). It encompasses a variety of features including Forward Collision Warning, Blind-spot Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, and Lane Following Assist, among others.

MG Astor

Starting at a price of 16,99,800 (ex-showroom), the Astor SUV's top-end Savvy variant offers an ADAS suite equipped with features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, and more.

 Additionally, the MG Astor SUV boasts a unique feature—an AI assistant robot positioned on its dashboard, capable of providing information on a wide range of topics. Furthermore, the Sharp variant provides the option to select the ADAS package to access Autonomous Level 2 features.

Tata Harrier 

The price range of the Tata Harrier falls between 15.00 lakh and 24.00 lakh. The latest version of this SUV introduces several noteworthy ADAS features, including Forward Collision Warning, Auto Emergency Braking, Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Alert, High Beam Assist, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Rear Collision Warning. In addition to these ADAS highlights, the Harrier is equipped with other safety features like six airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and all-wheel disc brakes.

Mahindra XUV700

Setting a precedent in its segment, the XUV700 became the pioneer in offering an ADAS suite that encompasses several features including Forward Collision Warning, Auto Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Traffic Sign Recognition, among others. This safety suite is exclusively available on the top-of-the-line AX7 and AX7L variants, with prices starting at 19.44 lakh (ex-showroom).
