Maruti Suzuki Q3 result: India's largest automobile company, Maruti Suzuki India, on Wednesday, January 29, reported a 16.22 per cent year-on-year (YoY) jump in its consolidated net profit for the December quarter of the current financial year (Q3FY25) to ₹3,726.9 crore. In the same quarter last year, the company's profit was ₹3,206.8 crore.
Total consolidated revenue from operations for the quarter under review rose 15.7 per cent YoY to ₹38,764.3 crore from ₹33,512.8 crore in the December quarter of FY24.
On a standalone basis, the company's profit rose 13 per cent YoY to ₹3,525 crore from ₹3,130 crore in the same quarter last year.
The company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) grew 14.4 per cent YoY to ₹4,470.3 crore against ₹3,907.9 crore in the same quarter last year. However, EBITDA margin declined marginally to 11.6 per cent from 11.7 per cent year over year.
Maruti said it registered the highest-ever net sales of ₹36,802 crore during the quarter against ₹31,860 crore in the same period the previous year.
The company said in an exchange filing that its sales rose nearly 13 per cent year over year. It sold 5,66,213 vehicles during the quarter, compared to 5,01,207 units in the same quarter last year.
In the domestic market, it sold 4,66,993 units in the quarter against 4,29,422 units in last year's same quarter.
It exported 99,220 units in the quarter which was the highest-ever in any quarter. Last year, during the same quarter, it exported 71,785 units.
The company said it recorded its highest-ever nine monthly sales volume, net sales and net profit.
For the nine-month (April-December) period of the current financial year (9MFY25), Maruti Suzuki sold 16,29,631 units, up 5 per cent over 9MFY24.
Domestic market sales stood at 13,82,135 units, and exports at 2,47,496 units for the period.
Maruti registered net sales of ₹1,06,266.4 crore in 9MFY25 against ₹98,240.3 crore in 9MFY24. It earned a net profit of ₹10,244.1 crore in 9MFY25 against ₹9,331.6 crore in 9MFY24.
Maruti Suzuki shares traded 0.93 per cent lower at ₹12,009.85 around 2:20 PM.
