JEE Mains results 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Session 2 results and answer key. As many as 24 candidates secured a perfect 100 percentile and emerged as toppers.
Candidates can access the results of paper 1 from the JEE Main website – jeemain.nta.nic.in. NTA held the April session of JEE Main between April 2 and 9.
A total of 15,39,848 unique candidates registered across both sessions, while 14,75,103 appeared. In the January session alone, 13,11,544 students registered and 12,58,136 appeared. For the April session, 10,61,840 registered and 9,92,350 took the exam.
The computer-based examination was conducted in 13 languages in 300 cities, including 15 international locations such as Dubai, Singapore, Doha, and Washington, DC.
As per reports, the 100 percentile scorers are majorly from Rajasthan, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Delhi, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh.
In the first edition, the NTA scores of 39 candidates were not declared as they were found to have indulged in unfair practices. During the second edition, 110 candidates were found to be involved in unfair means, including forgery of documents related to the examination, and consequently, their results were not declared.
"Besides these candidates, the results of 23 candidates have been withheld due to discrepancies in their photographs, biometric details or other personal information for identity verification. These candidates have been asked to provide a valid proof of their photographs, duly attested by a gazetted officer, to the NTA within a specified date for their results to be declared," the senior NTA official said.
NTA also announced the category-wise percentile cut-offs for eligibility to appear in JEE Advanced 2025.
For the unreserved (UR) category, candidates needed to score at least 93.10 percentile.
The cut-off for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) was 80.38, for OBC-NCL it was 79.43, for Scheduled Castes (SC) it was 61.15, and for Scheduled Tribes (ST) the cut-off stood at 47.90 percentile.
For Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) in the UR category, the cut-off was 0.0079 percentile.
According to National Testing Agency (NTA) officials, NTA scores are not the same as the percentage of marks obtained but normalised scores.
A senior official explained that NTA scores are normalised scores across multi-session papers and are based on the relative performance of all those who appeared for the examination in one session.
The official added that the marks obtained are converted into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of examinees.
Seven toppers are from Rajasthan, three each from Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra; two each from Delhi, West Bengal and Gujarat; and one each from Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
Two of the toppers are women.
