Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter Navya Nanda gets admission in IIM Ahmedabad: ‘Dreams come true’

Navya Naveli Nanda, granddaughter of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, has secured a seat at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad. She has enrolled in the Blended Post Graduate Programme for MBA, a two-year course.

Navya took to Instagram to share her excitement on her admission, posting several photos from the campus and expressing her “dream” achievement.

‘Dreams do come true’

In her Insta post, she wrote, “Dreams do come true!!!!!! Excited for the next 2 years with the best people & faculty! Blended Post Graduate Programme (BPGP) Class of 2026 [sic].”

One photo shows her in a black suit, while others capture the picturesque campus of IIM Ahmedabad and her new friends.

She also posted an Instagram story of herself cutting a cake and thanking her teacher, Prasad, for helping her succeed in the CAT/IAT exams—the Indian entrance test for MBA admissions.

Despite hailing from an illustrious family of actors, Navya has carved her own path in entrepreneurship, reported ANI. In 2021, she founded Project Naveli to address gender inequality in India. She also hosts the podcast, ‘What The Hell Navya,’ where she has featured her mother, Shweta Bachchan, and grandmother, Jaya Bachchan. The podcast focuses on topics revolving around feminism and the role of women in society.

Navya not into acting

According to a recent report by the Hindustan Times, Shweta clarified that Navya has no interest in following her grandparents Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, uncle Abhishek Bachchan, aunt Aishwarya Rai or brother Agastya Nanda’s footsteps.

When asked at an event in June if Navya would enter Bollywood, Shweta replied, “I think you are very well acquainted with the work Navya does, and she has her hands full. I don't think Bollywood is the way to go for her.” She was accepting an award for Navya's podcast at the time.
