The numbers have continued to remain in favour of the grouping with the party now set to win 236 seats out of 288. The majority mark in the 288-member Maharashtra Assembly is 145.
The high-stakes Assembly elections was marked by a fierce two-cornered battle between the ruling Mahayuti and the Opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi.
What did the exit poll results say? Most exit polls such as Chanakya Strategies, Pradeep Gupta's Axis My India, P-MARQ predicted a return of the BJP-led Mahayuti government, crediting the government's pro-poor and women schemes such as ‘Ladki Bahin’ just ahead of the Maharashtra Election Results. The MVA is expected to close the gap as the Maharashtra Election Results are declared on November 23. Maharashtra Election Results Live: Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and his two deputies — Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar — led a press conference on Saturday afternoon after securing a landslide win.
“Till the counting started, everyone was predicting results. I thank people of Maharashtra for the landslide victory. All the leaders, workers put a lot of efforts. We suffered a setback in Lok Sabha election. We accepted the result and moved forward. We implemented several schemes, but Ladki Bahin proved gamechanger. Our responsibility has increased with the mandate. The central government is with us. Mahayuti is ahead in all six division of Maharashtra," Pawar said.

Maharashtra Election Results Live: Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis dubbed it a sign of support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the Mahayuti alliance appeared poised for a landslide victory. He also insisted that there was no row over the Chief Ministerial post — with leaders of Mahayuti parties sert to take a decision.
"Opposition’s efforts of propagating fake narrative, and polarisation of voters based on religion was foiled by the masses. I succeeded in breaking the 'chakravyuh' of opposition due to support of voters, our team and party leaders," he added.

“Of course, even I feel the same way...About the results, the elder leaders will take that decision. But every Baramatikar does want to see Dada as the chief minister…I am really happy with the results. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our voters because they all have entrusted the Mahayuti again. In the next five years, we all will work hand in hand for the progress of the state and our Taluka...All the Baramatikars are Dada's and my family and as they gave respect to Saheb during Lok Sabha (polls) they have respect to Dada during Vidhan Sabha because they know the work he has done for the Taluka," he told ANI.
Maharashtra Election Results Live: With the Mahayuti alliance inching closer to victory and likely to form the government in Maharashtra, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde thanked the BJP high command for their support in prioritising Maharashtra.
“I thank all the workers of Mahayuti. PM Modi, Amit Shah bhai, Nadda ji - all supported us. They gave priority to Maharashtra. I am proud that I have been proven right about what I had said that we will win 200 seats. We (Mahayuti) fought like a team," Shinde said.
