Okhla Election Results 2025 Highlights: The Okhla constituency is one of the 70 Delhi Assembly constituencies up for an electoral battle in the high-stakes Delhi Elections 2025. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)'s Amanatullah Khan emerged victorious with a margin of over 23,000 votes for a record third term from the Okhla seat.
AAP's Khan was up against Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP)'s Manish Chaudhary and Congress' Ariba Khan, who are contesting the Okhla seat in the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025. However, AAP will face a tough battle against Shifa Ur Rehman, who is also contesting from Okhla, representing the All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) party.

The BJP won 48 of 70 assembly seats in Delhi — comfortably crossing the halfway mark need to form government in the union territory. According to the Election Commission, Arvind Kejriwal's AAP lost the polls by winning 22 seats in the 70-member Delhi Assembly. Meanwhile, Congress bit the dust again with no seat in its court. The final result will be out once all votes are counted.
On Wednesday, polling was held across 13,766 stations in all 70 Assembly constituencies of the national capital. Most exit polls predicted a clean sweep for the BJP in the Delhi Elections 2025 while giving a close-second majority to AAP, which has been in power for the last 11 years. The majority mark in Delhi's 70-member assembly is 36.

Okhla Election Results 2025 Live Updates: According to the Election Commission, Aam Aadmi Party candidate Amanatullah Khan won in Okhla with a margin of 23,639 votes, while BJP candidate Manish Chaudhary came second with 65,304 votes. Shifa Ur Rehman Khan, who is currently lodged in Tihar Jail, secured 39,558 votes.

For AAP, victory in 2025 Delhi polls would have meant a hattrick for Arvind Kejriwal's ruling party. However, as per latest Election Commission updates, BJP is currently in the lead, and is inching closer for a landslide victory in the capital after 27 years. To form the government in Delhi, a party or an alliance needs to win at least 36 seats in the 70-member house.

" I have cast my vote...we are forming the government in Delhi...the voting was carried out very slowly, administration and Election Commission conspired together, first votes were cut...BJP will come second...it is their job to register FIRs and it is my job to face it," said Amanatullah while speaking to ANI. Speaking to ANI, Tokas, who had contested the RK Puram constituency, emphasized that Congress would get more seats than expected.
