Michelle Trachtenberg died on Wednesday at the age of 39. She rose to fame as a child actor with “Harriet the Spy” and received praise for her roles in TV shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gossip Girl. Blake Lively, her co-star in Amy Sherman-Palladino’s show, expressed regret over her demise.

Recalling Michelle Trachtenberg as a jubilant and cheerful person, Blake Lively said that “she was electricity”. Blake Lively also said that Trachtenberg always gave 200% to whatever she did.

“She was electricity. You knew when she entered a room because the vibration changed. Everything she did, she did 200%,” wrote “It Ends With Us” star in her Instagram story.

Rosie O’Donnell,Michelle Trachtenberg’s co-star in her “Harriet the Spy” movie, called her death as “heartbreaking”. She also mentioned about Trachtenberg’s struggle during the last years of her life.

“I loved her very much. She struggled the last few years. I wish I could have helped.”

Glee star Chris Colfer remembered her this way: “Michelle was the absolute sweetest and one of the most supportive people I knew,” he wrote.

Michelle Trachtenberg was found “unconscious and unresponsive” at a 51-story luxury apartment tower in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen, reported AP on Wednesday.

Police responded to a 911 call shortly after 8 a.m. at a 51-story luxury apartment tower in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood, where officers found Trachtenberg “unconscious and unresponsive,” AP quoted an NYPD statement.

Paramedics assessed her vitals and pronounced her dead at the scene. Initially, no foul play was suspected at the scene. Her death has been investigated by the New York Medical Examiner.

“The family requests privacy for their loss,” Trachtenberg’s representative, Gary Mantoosh, said in a statement Wednesday.

Several users expressed their shock over the millennial Hollywood actor's demise. Many called it the industry's biggest loss.

“Just opened to the internet to find out Michelle Trachtenberg is dead at 39. Man, I used to watch ‘Ice Princess’ religiously… [sic]” wrote a social media user on X.

“Michelle Trachtenberg, star of Harriet the Spy, The Adventures of Pete & Pete, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Eurotrip , Gossip Girl and more, has died at 39. Damn, rip Queen [sic].”

“Sad day 39 yrs old Michelle Trachtenberg has passed away from complications from a liver transplant a beautiful talented actress gone to young rest in paradise beautiful [sic].”

“When I saw this, I thought it was a clickbait scam post, but sadly it’s true. Michelle Trachtenberg has passed away at age 39. Way too young [sic].”
