HDFC Asset Management Company released its March quarter performance today, April 17, reporting a net profit of ₹638 crore, which is a 18% jump as compared to ₹540.84 crore reported in the same period last year. In the preceding December quarter, the company reported a net profit of ₹641.36 crore.
The revenue from operations in the March quarter came in at ₹901.36 crore, a 30% rise as compared to 695.43 crore posted in Q4FY24. While sequentially, the revenue came in lower, as the company in the December quarter reported a revenue of ₹934.63 crore.
The operating Profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2025, was ₹711.5 crore as compared to ₹523.6 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2024.
For the Financial Year ended March 31, 2025, its net profit stood at ₹2460 crore, an increase of 26% over the financial year ended March 31, 2024. Revenue from operations was ₹3,498 crore and operating profit was ₹2,726.1 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2025, an increase of 35% and 43% respectively over the financial year ended March 31, 2024.
Meanwhile, the company recommended a final dividend of ₹90 per equity share of ₹5 each for the financial year ended March 31, 2025, subject to shareholders' approval at the ensuing Annual General Meeting.
"The final dividend, if approved by the shareholders, will be dispatched/remitted within the applicable regulatory timelines after the Annual General Meeting," the company said.
Quarterly Average AUM (QAAUM) stood at ₹7,740 billion for the quarter ended March 31, 2025, compared to ₹6,129 billion for the quarter ended March 31, 2024, representing an 11.5% market share in QAAUM of the mutual fund industry.
QAAUM in actively managed equity-oriented funds (excluding index funds) stood at ₹4,609 billion for the quarter ended March 31, 2025, with a market share of 12.8%.
According to the company, 70% of its total monthly average AUM is contributed by individual investors, compared to 60% for the industry. The company held a 13.2% market share in individual monthly average AUM for March 2025.
Total live accounts stood at 2.33 crore as of March 31, 2025. Unique customers, as identified by PAN or PEKRN, now stand at 1.32 crore, compared to 5.42 crore for the industry, reflecting a penetration of 24%.
