Ranveer Allahbadia controversy: Bharti Singh supports Samay Raina's show, says ‘Gen-Z ko pasand hai’

Comedian Bharti Singh has defended Samay Raina amid the Ranveer Allahbadia controversy, praising Raina's talent and appeal to Gen-Z.

Ranveer Allahbadia controversy: Comedian Bharti Singh on Saturday supported Samay Raina amid the controversy surrounding Ranveer Allahbadia’s comments on India's Got Latent.

As reported by the Indian Express, Singh said, “Woh show hi aisa hai, but zaroori nahi ki aap show mein jaake wahi bolo jo show ki requirement hai. Aapki marzi—bolo ya na bolo. Samay thodi kehta hai, ‘Arey, muh kholo, bolo!’ Samay bohot accha ladka hai aur talented bhi hai. Gen-Z ka pasand hai woh. Khud jaoge toh uske fan ho jaoge. Itna accha hai (Show is like that, but it's not necessary that you say everything required by the show. It's up to you—whether you say it or not. Samay doesn't force anyone, he says, 'Come on, speak up!' Samay is a very good guy and also talented. Gen-Z likes him. If you go, you'll become a fan of his. He’s that good."

"If you don't like the language he uses, then there are millions of others like us who love Samay Raina and watch him," the comedian added.

Bharti Singh is not the first celebrity to support Samay Raina. Earlier, Poonam Pandey also urged everyone to forgive Ranveer Allahbadia.

Mumbai Police have asked podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia to appear before them on Saturday as part of an investigation into his controversial remarks on a YouTube show, as he failed to appear earlier.Teams from Mumbai and Assam police visited his residence on Friday, but found the flat locked, according to an official.

Allahbadia, known for his BeerBiceps channel on YouTube, made crude remarks about parents and sex during his appearance on comedian Samay Raina's now-deleted YouTube show India's Got Latent, which has sparked significant outrage and led to multiple complaints.

On Friday, police recorded the statement of Pratham Sagar, video editor of 'India's Got Latent' show. He was allowed to leave after a brief questioning.

The Maharashtra Cyber has summoned at least 50 persons to record their statements in connection with a case registered by it in this connection. They include those who participated in the show.

Earlier on Thursday, actor and film personality Raghu Ram recorded his statement with the agency. He was on the judges panel of Raina's show.
