Meghan Markle reportedly left London and went to the US with Prince Harry to fund her ‘billionaire’ dream that she imagined when she married into the royal family.

According to a report by the Daily Mail quoting insiders, Meghan Markle is ‘craving’ a lavish billionaire lifestyle and fame that she thought she would get after her royal marriage.

The report quoted people in the royal circle as saying that the Duchess wanted to be a billionaire and was ‘shocked’ when she realised that Prince William and Princess Kate would ‘ultimately be in charge of her allowance’.

What did royal insiders say about Meghan Markle?

According to a report by The Sun, royal insiders have claimed that Meghan Markle assumed that she would get a billionaire lifestyle with a private jet if she married Prince Harry.

“She wants to be a billionaire. She wants a private jet. She wants to live a certain life,” the insider said.

“The assumption is if you marry a Prince of England, then you end up with a private jet and the lifestyle she craves,” they added.

According to an insider quoted by The Sun, Meghan Markle decided to move to the US after learning about the real deal involving her allowance.

“But when she realised William and Kate would ultimately be in charge of how much they got in terms of their allowance, she was saying, ‘We gotta get out of here’,” the insider was quoted as saying.

How much is Prince Harry's royal allowance?

Meghan Markle married Prince Harry, who at the time had savings and an inheritence. However, at the time, the purse strings were held by Charles via the Duchy of Cornwall.

When Charles became King in 2022, he passed the control of the fund to Prince William.
