The board conducted the Class 10 and 12 final examinations between February 24 and March 12, 2025, at a total of 8,140 exam centres spread across Uttar Pradesh.

In an impressive result, 91 out of 94 prisoners who appeared for the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education's Class 12 examination from different jails across the state have passed the examination.
According to the information revealed in the list released by the UP Board on Friday, the Agra jail saw the highest participation with 17 prisoners appearing for the Intermediate (Class 12) exams and all of them clearing it.
Similarly, all eight prisoners from the Lucknow jail who took the examination passed. Besides, all five prisoners from Rampur and all nine from Bareilly achieved success in the Intermediate exams.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday congratulated students who have secured place in the merit list in the 10th and 12th class examinations of Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education.

Mehak Jaiwal, a resident of Prayagraj, has topped the Uttar Pradesh Board 12th exams, securing above 97 per cent.

"I have secured 97%. I am very happy. I worked really hard, and that's why I got such good results. My parents, teachers, and sister supported me a lot... I want to be a doctor," she told ANI.
In the UP board High School result, an overall pass percentage of 90.11% was recorded this year, up from 89.55% registered last year.
In the exams conducted by Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, six inmates of Bareilly Central Jail 2 appeared for the exams while four inmates passed the UP Board examinations for high school and intermediate levels, Senior Jail Superintendent Vipin Mishra said. Notably, one inmate passed the Intermediate examination with first division, Indian Express reported.

All 10 jail inmates from Ghaziabad and all 10 from Varanasi jails qualified the Class 10 exams. Meanwhile, 9 out of 13 prisoners from Bareilly and 16 out of 21 from Agra successfully passed the High School exams. Across 32 jails, a total of 91 out of 105 prisoners, who appeared for Class 10 exam, successfully passed the exam, securing 86.67% overall pass percentage at the High School level.
Around 81% overall pass percentage was recorded in the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) declared the Class 10 and Class 12.

This time, 91 out of 94 prisoners from various jails around the state qualified the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education's Class 12 examination. Most of these prisoners were from Agra jail, according to the data in the list made public by the UP Board on Friday. As many as 17 prisoners from Agra jail appeared and passed the Intermediate (Class 12) exam. This implies that the overall pass rate for the jailed students stood at an impressive 96.81 percent.
