After the announcement of HS board exam results, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee congratulated the successful students and urged those who did not achieve the desired results not to get discouraged.

The capital of West Bengal -Kolkata - recorded exceptional performance in the West Bengal Class 12 results this year, registering a pass percentage of 93.43%.

Rajashree Adhikary from Arambagh obtained the third rank with 495/500 marks or 99 per cent pass percentage.

Tushar Debnath from Coochbehar has secured 2nd state rank in the West Bengal Higher Secondary examination with 496/500 marks or 99.2 per cent pass percentage.

Rupayan Pal from Bardhaman topped the West Bengal HS exam this year by securing 497/500 marks or 99.4per cent pass percentage

As many as 72 candidates secured a spot in the top 10 merit list of the West Bengal Class 12 results 2025.

Boys have outperformed this year in the Class 12 results, registering a better pass percentage compared to girls.

Pass percentage of boys: 92.3 per cent

Pass percentage of Girls: 88.18 per cent

East or Purba Medinipur emerges as the best performing district in the Class 12 exam, registering a pass percentage of 95.74 per cent.

This year, the pass percentage of students in the West Bengal Class 12 exam was recorded to be 90.79 per cent.

WBCHSE official during press conference said, “There were no incidents of question paper leaks during the HS exam. For the first time, marksheets will have QR codes and percentiles,”HT reported.

West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education President said that this year a total of 4,82,948 candidates enrolled for the HS exam, while 4,73,919 appeared for the same.

Step 1: Visit the official website wbchse.wb.gov.in and click on 'Council's Result Portal' mentioned under Higher Secondary Results 2025.

The west Bengal 12th results will be announced at a press conference scheduled for 12:30 pm for which candidates must keep their admit cards ready. Essential credentials needed to access Kerala Board Class 10 results online are registration number, password, and date of birth.

The original copies of the WBCHSE HS mark sheets and pass certificates will be distributed to educational institutions from 55 distribution centres across the state from 10:00 am on May 8. As per the official notice, the Head of the Institutions/Teacher-in-Charges are required to distribute the marks sheets and certificates among the students on the same day.

The Class 12 result will be announced at 12:30 PM through a press conference at Kolkata's Vidaysagar Bhavan, located in Saltlake as per the council's press release.

Nearly 5.09 lakh students registered for the WBCHSE 12th examinations this year, including 2.77 lakh girls.

Among the 7.5 lakh students who appeared for the WBCHSE 12th exam last year, 6.7 lakh passed the exam, registering pass percentage of 89.99 per cent.
