Maharana Pratap Jayanti 2025 is celebrated on Thursday, May 29. It is a festival commemorating Maharana Pratap Singh, a Mewar Rajput king. According to the Julian calendar, Maharana Pratap was born on May 9th, 1540. However, his birth anniversary is celebrated according to the Hindu calendar. Hence, in 2025, his birth anniversary falls on May 29.
Banks in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram will be closed on June 6, 2025 due to Id-ul-Ad’ha or Bakrid.
Banks are typically closed in various parts of the country to mark national, religious and regional observances. Additionally, banks are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays and all Sundays of the month.
It is important to note that online banking services will be available nationwide to ensure uninterrupted access to banking services, even on bank holidays. Customers can utilise these services for convenient financial transactions. Fund transfer requests can be made using NEFT/RTGS transfer forms, demand draft request forms, and chequebook forms. Credit cards, debit cards, and ATM cards can be obtained through card services. Services such as account maintenance forms, setting up standing instructions, and applying for a locker are also available.
