Stocks like TEGA Industries, Skipper, Jyoti Structures, Shriram Finance, Sera Investments Finance, and Supreme Engineering were some of the stocks that recorded large deals on Monday. NBFC major, Shriram Finance witnessed the biggest selling of the day, while Tata AIA Life Insurance picked up over 4 lakh shares in TEGA. Overall, markets ended in red with Sensex below 63,200 and the Nifty 50 near 18,800 levels.
Sensex ended at 63,168.30, down by 216.28 points or 0.34%. While Nifty 50 finished at 18,755.45, lower by 70.55 points or 0.37%. Also, both FIIs and DIIs were net sellers on the day with an outflow of ₹1,030.90 crore and ₹365.20 crore respectively.
In Shriram Finance, TPG India Investments offloaded its entire stake to the tune of 99,18,348 equity shares or a 2.65% aggregating to ₹1,389.56 crore, The selling was done in tranches in the open market on BSE.
However, Shriram Finance's share price rallied nearly 5% as there were multiple major buyers. Among key investors were Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs along with many fund houses. The largest buyer was Kotak FundsIndia Midcap Fund.
As per the bulk deal on BSE, Tata AIA Life Insurance bought 401,421 equity shares at ₹907.42 per share in the company. The transaction aggregated to nearly ₹36.43 crore.
While Tata AIA picked up shares in TEGA, investors Mehul Mohanka offloaded 20 lakh shares at ₹907.02 apiece --- amounting to ₹181.40 crore. Also, Nihal FiscaL Service sold 724,950 equity shares in the company at ₹907 apiece --- totaling ₹65.75 crore.
Mansi Shares & Stock Advisors sold 42.09 lakh shares at ₹7.11 apiece in Jyoti Structures, as per bulk deal data on NSE.
Santosh Industries sold 10 lakh shares in Skipper for ₹168.55 apiece on NSE. The transaction aggregated to ₹16.85 crore.
On NSE, in a bulk deal, LA Richesse Advisors sold 15 lakh shares at ₹0.55 apiece.
