Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to take oath on Sunday evening with many eminent personalities in attendance. Top actors including Shahrukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth will be in attendance as Narendra Modi takes oath as Prime Minister for a record third term. The guest list also included members of the Adani and Ambani families and several other top industrialists.
Visuals shared online showed Khan and Kumar hugging each other as they arrived at the Rashtrapati Bhavan to attend the oath ceremony. Meanwhile fellow actor Anupam Kher was mobbed by a few fans soon as he exited the premises of the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The guest list — with nearly 8,000 attendees — also included Anil Kapoor, Rajkumar Hirani, Raveena Tandon, Vikrant Massey, and Kangana Ranaut who was recently elected to the Lok Sabha. Actor-politician Suresh Gopi — the lone BJP MP elected from Kerala — also attended the event.
“I am going to take part in the swearing-in ceremony... It is a very historic event. I congratulate PM Modi Ji for becoming the prime minister for the consecutive third time,” Rajinikanth had said on Sunday morning after reaching Delhi.
Billionaire businessman Gautam Adani attended the ceremony alongside his wife Priti and brother Rajesh Adani. Mukesh Ambani was also present along with his sons – Anant and Akash – and son-in-law Anand Piramal.
Seating arrangements had been made for over 8,000 guests attending the ceremony. Earlier reports indicated that the guest list would also include labourers, lawyers, doctors, artists, cultural performers, and influencers.
