Chhattisgarh Municipal Election Result LIVE: BJP candidate Jivvardhan Chauhan, tea seller by profession, has won the Raigarh Municipal Corporation mayoral election, reported Dainik Jagran, adding he defeated Congress candidate Janaki Katju.

After its resounding victories in assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Chhattisgarh, the BJP on Saturday won elections to a majority of civic bodies in the state, riding high on welfare schemes and fulfilled promises. The saffron party won all ten mayor posts in the state, poll officials said. The performance of the main opposition Congress was lacklustre, but it managed to win the post of chairman in the Kunkuri Nagar Panchayat in Jashpur district, in the assembly constituency of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai

Taking to X, Home Minister Amit Shah wrote, "The landslide victory of the BJP in the Chhattisgarh Municipal Corporation elections is the public's seal of approval on the reach of development works to the masses under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri @narendramodiji and Chief Minister Shri@vishnudsai ji and the step towards a Naxal-free Chhattisgarh. Many thanks to the public for this victory and best wishes to State President Mr.@KiranDeoBJP ji and all the workers of @BJP4CGState.

Union Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda congratulated Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and all the workers of the party after registering a ‘massive victory’ in the Chhattisgarh Civic Polls.

Taking to X, he wrote, “I heartily congratulate the Chief Minister

@vishnudsai ji, State President@KiranDeoBJP ji and all the workers of BJP Chhattisgarh on the massive victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Chhattisgarh urban body elections.

This historic victory is a symbol of the unwavering faith of the people of the state on the public welfare and tribal-friendly schemes being implemented by the double-engine government under the guidance of the respected Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji.”

Expressing gratitude to the public for giving the BJP a mandate, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said, "Today is a historic moment for the BJP as well as the Chhattisgarh government. The day will be mentioned in the history of Chhattisgarh with a golden letter because the BJP has registered a landslide victory in civic body elections and demolished the fortress" (referring to Raipur Municipal Corporation).

On the results of Chhattisgarh Municipal Corporation Election 2025, BJP MP Brijmohan Agarwal said, as quoted by ANI, "We congratulate all the workers and the public for the victory. For this victory, we give credit to the government of Vishnu Deo Sai..."

He further says, "Congress looted Chhattisgarh, committed corruption, did injustice and stopped development ..."

Chhattisgarh Municipal Election Result LIVE: Congratulating the winners of the state civic polls, Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai took to X and wrote, "Today's day will be written in golden letters in the history of Chhattisgarh in the field of politics. The Bharatiya Janata Party has achieved historic success in the urban body elections."

Chhattisgarh Municipal Election Result LIVE: BJP president JP Nadda on Saturday congratulated state Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and state party president Kiran Singh Deo for landslide victory in the Chhattisgarh civic polls.

Taking to X, JP Nadda wrote, "I heartily congratulate the Chief Minister @vishnudsai ji, State President @KiranDeoBJP ji and all the workers of BJP Chhattisgarh on the massive victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Chhattisgarh urban body elections."

Chhattisgarh Municipal Election Result LIVE: BJP swept civic polls in the state and won all 10 mayoral posts, PTI quoted the officials as saying. 

As per the trends provided by the state election officials, the BJP won mayoral posts in all 10 municipal corporations, and chairperson's posts in 35 municipal councils and 81 nagar panchayats.

BJP candidate Jagdish Ramu Rohra has won the Dhamtari Municipal Corporation mayoral election by a margin of 34,085 votes, reported Dainik Jagran. Also, 28 BJP councillors are leading in their respective wards.

BJP candidate Gayatri Singh has been elected as the President of the Patna Nagar Panchayat in Koria District, reported Dainik Jagran.

Polling for 10 Municipal Corporations, 49 Municipal Councils, and 114 Nagar Panchayats across the state began at 8 am on February 11 and continued until 5 pm. There are 44.74 lakh voters, of whom 22.52 lakh are male and 22.73 lakh are female. The Election Commission has set up a total of 597 polling stations across the state for urban body elections.

Chhattisgarh Deputy CM Arun Sao showed confidence in the party's winning the urban body polls in the state.

"I have cast my vote along with my family. I urge you all to come out of your houses and cast your votes. This is the festival of democracy and I request everyone to participate in it...BJP is going to win all the seats in the state..." Sao told ANI on Feb 11.

In January, the Chhattisgarh Election Commission announced that the state will hold urban local body elections on February 11, with results to be declared on February 15. The three-tier panchayat elections will take place in three phases on February 17, 20, and 23, with results to be announced on February 18, 21, and 24, respectively.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday stated that BJP will win state's Municipal Corporation Elections 2025 with a mojority. 

Addressing a press conference, the CM also hit out at the Congress party and said that there was no alignment with what the party did and said.

"We will win. We had succeeded in the Vidhan Sabha bye-elections too. There have been good developmental works in the last 13 months. People's faith in the BJP has increased..." the CM said while addressing the media.

The Ambikapur Municipal Corporation saw a fight between Congress' Dr Ajay Tirkey and BJP's Manjusha Bhagat for the post of mayor.

In the Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation, the BJP fielded former MP Madhusudan Yadav against Congress' Nikhil Dwivedi for the post of mayor.

The Raipur Municipal Corporation saw a contest between BJP's Meenal Choubey and Congress' Dipti Dubey for the post of mayor. Dipti Dubey is the wife of former mayor Pramod Dubey.

On Friday 11, Korea district recorded the highest voter turnout at 84. 97 per cent in the state while Bilaspur district saw lowest turnout at 51.37 per cent.

The elections were held in 10 municipal corporations, 49 councils and 114 Nagar Panchayats in which 72.19 per cent voter turnout was recorded, said a state election official here. 

The polling was held from 8 am to 5 pm.
